Tasted alongside La Montagne. Ripe black cherry comes across as nicely rich but also still firm. Not as tannic as the Montagne, but also not as powerful, but overall much easier to enjoy today.

PnP with Burritos! Great value for a village level wine. The tannins were a tad astringent but the fruit was excellent, especially on the nose. I'm a Burg lover but my cab loving neighbor said, "now this is Burgundy I'd drink!"
Really great blend of cherries and raspberries on the lose, no hole in the middle and only a bit of off putting astringency in the tannins on the finish.

Don't drink too much Burgundy, but this struck me as a pretty nice example of Marsannay. Translucent, red cherry with just a tinge of bricking on the rim. Medium intensity on the nose, light cherry and strawberry fruit with some dirty earthy notes. Palate is fresh and vibrant with juicy acidity and soft mild tannins. Light red cherry , strawberry and hints of currant on the finish. Seems to have the structure to last a little while longer but this was drinking very nicely with food now. Paired great with some salmon, with beets and goats cheese with some lentils sauteed with the beet greens and garlic. Good value as well.

The end-tannins in this reminded me that the experts of the 50's and 60's could mistake Burgundy for Bordeaux - that hardness that deviates from the fruit could explain the otherwise nonsensical. Also why I prefer to taste Burgundy before buying....but this was a "bargain" so I am not too disappointed with the quality Earthiness, thin fruit, somewhat astringent and short. Village Burgundy

Nice simple wine, not overly complex but enjoyable. Still plenty of time in the bottle and a good value. WBA
