A small gathering with COVID safety measures at Bryan's (Undisclosed location in McLean, VA): This has come together beautifully. Expressive nose displaying perfectly ripe yellow fruit, yellow and white peach, fresh lemon, a hint of apricot, sweet spices and mineral. Exceptional concentration, beautifully layers opulent yellow fruit, rich and opulent but also perfectly precise, harmonious and weightless, medium acidity, strong mineral, and a long rich yellow fruit drive finish. It is now showing GC like balance and finesse. Drinking magnificently.

Burgundy dinner (The Grill Room at Capella Hotel Georgetown): One of those unicorn wine. Pop and pour, it feels like an intense version of the Clos des Mouches, deeply toned and mineral but pretty straightforward especially compare to the other wines in the flight. However with air, it really improves by gaining weight and mineral expression. Ripe deeply toned yellow pit fruits, lemon, slightly unripe yellow peach, mint, sweet spices and mineral. Excellent concentration, mineral and steely, sweet deep yellow fruit driven palate impression, perfect amount of acidity and lovely long mineral finish. Though not showing a lot of GC finesse, it displayed the perfect balance. Incredibly mineral wine. Started around 92 but ended up a couple points higher.
