On opening, big chocolate/mocha/dusty cocoa and secondary dark fruits scents. Plush mouthfeel, dusty tannins finishing with lingering dark cherry. There's a tiny bit of heat on the back end, but otherwise a very enjoyable wine. (50+5+13+17+7)

nose: it smells like the night...no, really! very fragrant, concentrated black fruit, spice, and smoke. im thinking fennel, plum, earth, cinnamon, even dried black figs
palate: even blacker than the nose. super ripe black fruit, tar, licorice, asian spices. flavors are pretty standard but the concentration and texture are to die for...velvety and seamless. finish is more of the same plus lovely oak and im definitely not complaining

Great value. Ink purple color with a fruit forward nose - plumbs, black berries, and loads of oaky vanilla. The vanilla dominates the palate and finish. 5+12+16+8=91
