Probably shouldn't have opened this tonight but I was just a tad short with one btl for three of us prior to the Jackson Browne show plus some waiter pours. Finished just over 1/2 of it and gave the rest to my favorite waiter Jessica to keep. Another great btl showing a little fat after following the Dauvissat but still lovely. Tremendous depth and flavor range. Wish I had more time to spend with it but the opening act was scheduled to start in 15 minutes when we left OA.
A little more mellow this time, possibly related to the bottle being opened 2 days before (but kept in refrigerator under closure). No less interesting though and distinctly Burgundian. Slightly mealy, earthy and tasting of minerals more than fruit.
Too warm at first; I had to call for an ice bucket to salvage it. Maybe losing just a bit of its intensity but still very distinctive earth and dirt. Nicely dry and decent length. Certainly enjoyable but it's time to drink up.
