Pale crimson. Nose was elusive but fragrant, roses, almost Turkish delight. Immediate impression on the palate was somewhat dilute, but the persistence of the finish changed that. Second glass had warmed up a bit and gave more complexity of red fruit and some nice tannins on the finish.
Quite hard to believe its a 13 year old village wine. Was it worth what I paid for it..? Yes, undoubtedly. Is it worth the current market price. No.

Intense nose of red fruit, flowers and a bit of reduction that blew off after a couple hours. Day two was more interesting with dried flowers and more brambly fruit and nice grip on the finish. Super impressive density and balance for a village wine.

Expressive nose of dried flowers, strawberry and cherry. Good depth in the mouth, with excellent structure. It builds and fans out and the finish is cool and feels like sucking on a cherry stone. Excellent village wine.

From the colour to the first nosing to the palate, it is everything this wine should be. Light cherry nose, palate of wild cherries, pomegranate, with just touch of very fine tannins; very persistent, long finish.

More muted and meaty than the last bottle. Iron finish.
