Interesting blend of Syrah, Cab and Petite Verdot, but lacks a little pizzazz right outta bottle. Flavor opened up after an hour, very enjoyable, would buy more.

The bouquet has opened up and is more generous than 7 months ago and the resolution in the tannins makes this smoother all around . Bright fruit, very zippy on the nose (almost reaching lighter fluid levels), rich texture and a long finish. Fine now and for another few years, I'm sure. 5+12+15+8 = 90

Notes after a couple hours open in the glass. Dark violet color, slow and lightly tinted legs. Modest sediment. Low intensity aromas of blackcurrant, licorice, roses, and potpourri. Big, spicy palate with smooth layers of fruit and 'nilla wafer. Medium-long finish. Probably close to its peak in the time/tannin continuum. 5+11+16+8 = 90

Beautiful Bordeaux blend, with great potential over the next few years. Lots of depth. Was excellent with veal chops and morels. Will replicate the menu annually over the next few years.
