A crazy value at $20 - nice to know there's such high-quality pinot available at this price. Has the acidity that I love so much in 2010 burgs, and a fresh, slightly tart red fruit profile. Just delicious, with or without food.

Holiday 2012 Wines; 12/23/2012-12/31/2012 (Santa Fe, NM): Just beautiful cranberry color in the glass. With some air this fleshed out a bit and had beautiful pomegranate, cranberry, cherry and floral notes. The palate had a subtle mushroom note that gave it a rustic sense. Overall, drinking well and a nice value for sure!

Pretty smell of red fruit and flowers, with some forest floor and a touch of pine resin. A good dose of acidity lifts the palate; nice combo of juicy freshness and deeper earthy notes. Quite enjoyable.

Been about a year since I had the '09 and I wish I could make a more direct comparison, but this is impressive stuff just as the '09 was impressive last year. It has a plush fruit presence but with a good amount of sappy grip to give it more gravitas than you expect from the appellation. I like this better than the Joblot 1er crus and it could pass for a Cote d'Or wine, maybe even a 1er cru. There's a note of cedar shavings mixed in with the fruit but I think that's even subtler here than it was in the '09.

A nice value from Givry. Beautiful red fruit, dried floral notes with earthy undertones. Drinking nicely...
