Rather oaky nose, medium color. Lots of dark fruit and cherry flavors, along with a very strong taste of oak on the palate, over soft, drying tannins. Fairly long finish with a lot of blackberry and some earthy echoes. Not a blockbuster, but nicely put together with some real Merlot character. Nothing really special, but a nice buy in its price range. Solid.

Aroma is unremarkable, light tannins and alcohol. Light body for a Merlot, but very pleasant with spicy blackened chicken.

Grass Fed Steak: Not really big enough for this food. Best for Chicken BBQ.

Very fruity, cherry flavors in a light body. Clean finish. Balanced.

This Merlot had a very unpleasant chalky taste to it. I am not sure if the bottle I received was bad or what.
