  • Saint Aubin produces some wonderful wines and this is a nice example. It is a light ruby colour, with a slightly tart but uninspiring nose but a very approachable draw of fruit in the glass. One criticism is that the most dominant flavour is sour cherry but nonetheless as a Sunday roast wine it is excellent. The label is simplistic - almost artisan and to the point - but for me this Les Castets has a lot of charm (and a fair amount of sediment for such a young pinot noir) - I would look to secure other vintages again - the 2010 should be excellent.
