Exquisitely awful. Far more advanced an a bottle from the same lot a few months prior, this smells like the vomit of a woman who had been washing down the butter-flavored popcorn at the bar with cheap Pinot grigio.
Not a hint of oxidation, and while this is a bit more golden than a young Chablis its still mainly a pale greenish-yellow. I've always read that pre-sale Fevre was over-Oaked but this shows no obvious oak beyond perhaps the faintest hint of something vanilla, but generally this is oyster blood, acid, and a honeyed note showing its age. Frankly, could use a little more fruit/ripeness, and I generally like my Chablis on the austere side. Lots of bottle funk, but it blew off - maybe even a touch reductive before it got air.
