Improved with age. Initial bottle I tasted a couple of years ago was pleasant, but this one opened-up quite a bit. Plum flavors with a nice smooth finish. Ready to drink now.

Opened one hour before pairing with pizza. A medium ruby in the glass (i.e., quite light), with a thinned, clearing meniscus with perhaps just a touch of tawniness. An attractive nose of jammy raspberry, plum, and spices including pepper. Quite structured on the palate, especially with yet more air. Very good intensity and concentration, with a long, pleasant finish. Verging on jammyness initially, but with more air this resolved and became quite structured. Very interesting, and was not as expected in a good way. Perhaps just past peak, all things considered, but should remain good for another year or two.

Decanted 20 minutes prior to pairing with penne pasta and a rich, slightly spicy Italian sausage marinara. A medium-dark garnet in the glass, with thinning edges and quick-forming legs. A nose of sweet pipe tobacco and dried fruits, reminiscent of Amarone. Good intensity and concentration on the palate, with an intriguing touch of oxidation; decent acidity and not at all jammy. Drinks much older than I'd think a 2009 Erich Bradley-made wine would. Obtained directly from the Audelssa Wine Club.

A nice balanced but fruit forward Zin, needs some air but opened up nicely after about 30 min.
