  Lovely nose of red fruit, tar, mushrooms , iron, and roses. Great acidity with more red fruit, cherries, underwood, forest notes, and more iron on the palate. Nice finish. Perfectly mature Nebbiolo that retains freshness and fruit. Great wine!

  Cork has noticeable recent seepage (wasn't there when I bought it not too long ago), but the color and fill were excellent. Double-decanted off sediment and served several hours later. More depth and color than the 64 and 67 normales, a darker complexion to the fruit and more earth/soil tones, but just a little sharpness on the back end.

  A completely tertiary nose. At first soy, decayed leaves, bouillon, leather, and dried roses. Autumnal, like late autumn.That said, on the palate, it is fresher than the nose would suggest. Nice texture and sap. Good acidic balance lends it some freshness in an otherwise fading, but elegant and enjoyable wine. I bet this was really enjoyable a decade ago. 88pts
