In an awkward spot when last tasted approximately 18 months ago, additional cellar time has been beneficial for this opaque red/garnet blend of 85% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre and 5% Syrah. From a bottle purchased upon release and cellared under pristine conditions, it was decanted off of its sediment and then Vinturi-decanted for additional aeration. Over the ensuing 2-3 hours it proved itself to be very worthy of its accolades, much more floral than when previously tasted. Intensely aromatic, it flaunts an enticing bouquet of jasmine, Provençal herbs, exotic spices, pipe tobacco and loamy earth, all backed up with a hefty aliquot of black and red bramble fruits. Medium-to-full-bodied, freshly acidic and without alcoholic heat (14.5%) when served at 60-65°F, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose, wrapping them with silky tannins and a well-woven component of toasted oak. Solid on the mid-palate, it goes on to close with a lengthy, mineral-laden finish. This has fleshed out beautifully and is now something special. Seeing how all of the components have come together, I am quite convinced that this will last longer than previously projected. Drink now-2030.

Arômes floraux, garrigue, herbes de Provence, poussière et cassonade. Un vin fruité...fruits noirs, souple et rond, et chaud...15% d'alcool. Longue finale...une touche d'amertume. Excellent !

Ripe dark fruit, not overly ripe or thick, some earth and spice, lively with a silky feel. Drinking well now, but has time ahead of it. Excellent Chateauneuf.

magnifique nez de fruits rouges. Bouche fondue et charnue. Superbe grain de tannins. Surprenant de jeunesse. Compagnon idéal d'une côte de boeuf.
