  Reviews from 2016 said this was on its way out, so I had low expectations. Pleasantly surprised, nay, shocked. Fantastic! Still had bright color, strong and pleasant bouquet, lovely soft tannin, still a decent amount of fruit with plenty of complexity to go with it. Long finish. No offensive aromas or flavors throughout. Sad that I lost track of who brought this to our house as a party gift. I would give them a big thank you!

  lovely nose of dark chocolate, mint, pine needles, eucalyptus and rounded fruits. Palate was very elegant, with a hint of tobacco, subtle blackberry and just a bit of oak. Very well put together, almost not enough to be a 'steak wine'. Really outstanding overall.
