  • Rober amaranthe assez dense.
Nez typique, framboise cuite, sous-bois humide.
Bouche gourmande, tarte à la framboise, patisserie grillée, acidité présente, alcool bien perceptible qui alourdit un peu.

  • From 750 mls. My first bottle of this wine for a few years. Now early on its optimal drinking plateau (open over the next 5-10 years). Earthy, herby - both fresh and dried herb aromas - and black fruited bouquet. Some beef stock, musk and mushroom. A savoury, earthy entry to the palate and follow through. Decent structure and concentration. Melded tannins and acids. Precise and persistence. Good length. Some rusticity but that’s part of the charm. Very good!

  • Popped and poured. Really nice on the nose with a perfumed bouquet. Medium bodied, with cherry notes and an even finish. This is drinking well, but should hold for the next several years. Well done from a lesser appellation.

  • Lunch at TableAt7. Drank over 2 hours. Drank in Gabriel Glas Gold.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with thin garnet rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of floral spice, red cherries, earth. Developing.
On the palate, dry, vibrant high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), sticky medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of fleshy ripe red cherries, floral spice, earth, bits of boysenberry and licorice. Darker red cherries, sweet plums, and bits of meat and pepper spice with more air. Long finish.
Very good quality. Thoroughly enjoyable. Nose was simply good. Takes on a darker tone character with more air. Good substance and balanced. Could be even better in 2 years. Not rustic at all to me.

88 puis 85 pts….?
