Community Tasting Notes (1)

  • Drinking at peak. Prominent leather, violet and blackberry/cassis fruit from nose through finish. A high level of seamless acid provides needed brightening on the mid-palate through finish, maintaining balance as ripe raspberry and licorice root flavors settle in. Ideally fine but plentiful tannins give it just enough presence. Would've preferred the graphite minerality to be a little stronger to make this more complete, but it helped pass a Sunday afternoon well enough and actually improved in the presence of a vinegary bean and rice dish.
