(Coravin)
Straw. Reductive, and then with air a nose of lemon curd, honey, and crushed rock. Lemon and nervy minerality in the mouth. Creamy texture. Refreshing acidity. Made from five parcels in Verzé, this is a delightful Mâconnais. Drink now through 2018.
Drank at Le District with Tina. Incredible levels of concentration with copious amounts of butter, citrus, wet stones and sugarcane. The wine pours a golden straw color with medium legs. Alcohol is very present on the nose. On the palate, acidity first hits the palate, followed by flowing minerality and the strength of alcohol. In fact, acidity here masks the delicate flavors of tropical fruits and citrus. Extraction level in this wine is amazing, but I would've liked more balance.
