Each time I have this wine, I come away thinking I need to remember to have a couple bottles on hand to pair with Italian and serve to a wide variety of guest palates. Consistently plump body, red cherry, plum, smoke and spice improves with ~45-60 minute decant.

Barbera D’Nasty.
Brutally bad. Past prime. No discernible fruit left in it and approaching vinegar status. Wish we could have tried it in its prime. 4 bottles, shot.

Raw meat on the nose. On the palate: vanilla cream, anise, and overripe berries.

Love this wine. Spice and herbs, anise and fruit. Medium + finish and very enjoyable. Tastes like Italy.
