another bottle: thankfully, much better than last week's! rounded taste of plum fruit, finishes with chocolate, black pepper, and licorice; overall -- slightly restrained shiraz (compared with Shotfire, for example) but yummy on its own merits, would pair well with burgers
10/13/2012 - 81 points - color: medium purple; nose: oak and earth; taste: medium-bodied mouth feel, tastes vegetal and tangy rather than fruity, slightly chalky medium-length finish; overall: just OK -- not luscious or fruity, as other Lehmann Shiraz vintages have been. I hope it's just a bad bottle...I bought another, and will update these notes when I open it.
Jammy dark fruit nose with some brighter raspberry highlights, big rubber character, dark chocolate, tobacco and blackpepper. Fullbodied and concentrated on the palate with decent balance. Mid-level acidity, slight tannic grip and jammy fruit. Some meat, blackpepper and rubber here as well. Pretty ok, except for the rubbery character.
Dinner at S.Wine, Publika, Kuala Lumpur. Pop & poured.
Dark plum coloured. Primary nose of ripe dark fruits with a little spice. The heat from the alcohol was noticeable. Full bodied shiraz. A little simple on the palate with plenty of dark fruits with a little pepper, oak and eucalyptus but does its job adequately. Short to moderate length.
