Very easy drinking. Not really a substitute for port but a lovely drink, especially with some rich fruit- and chocolate-based desserts. Deep colour with a nose of prunes, figs, blueberry and vanilla. A touch too much alcohol on the nose. Smooth, rich prunes, cherries, blueberries and dark plum skins on the palate. Nice but perhaps a little expensive, at least in UK

Made in the traditional port method, this was acceptable at this young age. Alcohol was not overpowering, fruit was decent. A small pour went great with a dessert at a restaurant, but I did not want any more. Maybe this will be better in 20 years, but I'm not buying any to find out.

Not as syrupy or cloyingly sweet as many desert wines.

Blue fruits in the nose. Almond and blueberry flavors, and the blueberry lingers for a long time on the finish.

Blackberry, blueberry pie, fig. The palate is sweet, alcohol, butterscotch, dense black and blue fruit. Well made, but not my preference.
