Garnet in the glass, nose is a bit hot with black fruits, palate is fruit forward and zippy with cacao, blackberry and lively acidity mid palate, finish is medium long with a note of wood and earth. Nice.

Great purple color. Fruity. Medium bodied. Light to medium spice. Medium finish. Slight lingering vanilla initially, but day 3 (vacuumed) vanilla has blown off and pleasant light wood oak remains. Good QPR.

This is really pretty nice. There is a lot of upfront fruit flavor, but still some softness, elegance, and structure. The Syrah brings some jammy, dark fruit, grapey, vibrant freshness. The Grenache shows some earthy, spicy, pepper, in a similar to Zinfandel character. Deep purple color, with plenty of legs. The nose has violets first then stewed dark fruit with more red raspberry in the background. It is easy to perceive the 14.5% alcohol, that is really quite well integrated. More than medium bodied. Decent mouth feel. The fruit entry on the palate is quick hitting and vibrant, then evolves toward more of a tannic and acid driven character. The oak, and tannins do a great job of enhancing and balancing the fruit. Leaves a taste of plum skins on the top of the palate. Feels very young on the palate. Pretty sure a couple years of bottle age will bring out some red licorice and cola flavors. The finish is spicy, briary, red raspberry.

Medium body with nose of fern and lingonberry. Fruity and lacking tannin and acidity.
