  This was quite a bit more mature than the other 2010s next to it. Dark and red fruit flavors, oak, spices, and some sweetness on the nose. Good acidity and structure with mostly red fruit notes on the palate along with berries, violets, and more oak notes. Good finish. This was not close to the Jamet, but good in its own way. Much more oak and a different style...

  Still a baby. Meaty, blackberry, prune, tapenade, thyme. Will continue to improve with age.

  Deep red, plush. On the fruit still, limited tertiary development. A cool and refined nose of pure red and black berries, really nice, deep and luscious. Smooth blackcurrant and tart cherry, a good sweetness backed up by a more sour mid-palate, almost nebbiolo-like. Some smoky bacon and meat, but I kept coming back to the purity of the syrah fruit. Lovely stuff. Decanted, from a magnum, this has years ahead of still in my view, especially in the larger format. Fortunately this is the first of a case.

  Slightly better than the one I had 3 years ago. Bacon, smoke, violets. The only fault or weakness I would say here is the length it kind of falls short a bit too fast
