Very much a pop and pour wine. Early on, very old world nose, smooth and muted fruit, with very long mid tongue finish. With time, loses the nose, fruit, and finish. That said, drinks like an $80 bottle of French wine for the first thirty minutes.
Nearly opaque ruby black color with aromatic brambly black and red fruits, baking spices aromas. On the palate it's medium bodied with very good acidity, dusty tannins and a great texture with ample concentrated black cherry, blackberry, plum and spice flavors. Long satisfying finish. 15.7% alcohol, but doesn't drink like it...
