Very good tonight. Not much overt fruit, but a great amount of earth and graphite. Fantastic nose, lithe smooth mouth with a silky texture, good length.

Somewhat peculiar. No overt fruit for the first hour or two, but lots of earth and woody graphite. The mouth and the structure improve over that time as well, with a good (but still peculiar) wine the result. I'd say that this one needs a few years yet.
Try bottle #2 in 2020.

A frutier and less aggressive Ojai syrah compared to other bottelings. This has more cherry and red fruit than smoke, tannins and dark fruit of a typical central coast syrah.
Great change of pace.

I haven't been overly impressed with any of the '10 Ojai's I've tried so far. This bottle was good but not great/wonderful/exciting, etc. There is a bit of a funky garden hose finish that I could have done without. With three bottles still in the cellar I have hope that they will improve with time.

Very mild, light, almost like a grenache except for a little spice. Wonder if this is past prime ... drink up?
