  • The wine looks ruby colored. There is no sediment in the bottle.
It smells like blackberry, fig and light toast. It tastes like mineral. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.
The winemaker advises cellaring 5+-10 years. Like that will happen on our world!

  • This is a Syrah-Cab Sauvignon blend made from grapes sourced from warmer vineyards (Happy Canyon) in the Santa Ynez Valley. In the glass, the wine is inky/ruby. It has aromas and flavors of blackberry, cherry and toasty oak. It has a complexity that belies its sub $30 price range, and was a real crowd pleaser at my last dinner party. Its finish, however, comes up short and it lacks the tannic backbone to age gracefully.

  • Pnp - very good juice. Fruit on the front side and a slightly lingering finish. Small touch of heat. Hold - decant + if consuming in the near term.
