HdR Opening Tasting: This is drinking well now. Seems to be about at peak. Good black raspberry fruit, some roasted herbs and a bit of chocolate. Some complexity. Light tannins. Went very well with Larry's home made bread. Tercero wines always present great values as well.

A very linear wine, meant in a good way: unadulterated, with a tight nose of blue fruit and a touch of yeast. Licorice and grilled herbs emerge on the palate. No jamminess but juicy and enjoyable.

14.3% alcohol. A really nice wine. Dark red-purple color. Pretty nose of blue fruit with no hints of creaminess or jaminess, along with an olive and meaty edge. An example of how nice a Syrah Tercero can do. Good fruit with a solid underpinning of earthiness.

1 hr decant. Moderate nose of smoke, blackberry and raspberry. Medium body smoked meat notes with red fruits and herbs. Medium plus finish.
