Opened right out of cellar and took a taste. I believe I said to myself, "Oh, wow!" Enjoyed over three nights with ribeye steak and loin pork chop. Dark color with blackberry notes on the palate. Some spice and pepper show up and this is great with the steak and pork chops. Wish I had more!
The first night opened, this was quite tart with out of balance acidity that made it difficult to enjoy. The next night, the acidity mellowed out and allowed some savory notes to come forward and show the wine's true Syrah character. More air throughout the evening seemed to help. Overall, it turned out to be quite nice, but I think more time is in order for remaining bottles.
