Big tropical nose. Banana, pineapple, guava and other nice flavors. It's rich without being over the tip. The criticism from some was that it lack acidity.

The 2009 Rhone Blend is quite a change from the 2008 (which is still whats on the website. This new blend is 46% Roussanne, 26% Marsanne, 13% Viognier, 13% Picpoul (nice), and 2% Grenache Blanc.
14.1% alc
Color is a light golden yellow. The Roussanne & Marsanne are prevalent, with notes of apricot, honeyed almonds, stone fruit. Rich texture showing its Roussanne side well. The 2008 was stainless and used oak (neutral?) The 2009 definitely shows the complexity of oak aging, mostly neutral with perhaps a small amount used, not quite neutral.
A wonderful, complex white will pair well with richer food, chicken, or just great by itself.

Elegant and complex. Tropical fruit, apple, and pear notes, with good minerality and acidity.
