Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 85 points

  • Pale/medium garnet, wide slightly browning rim. Open, medium intense nose, plenty of interest with plenty of Savigny earth, cocoa and some underlying dark cherry. Nicely balanced on the palate with integrated tannins and reasonable acidity, moderately intense flavours of dark cherry, earth, cocoa, even a little chocolate. Seemed to gain both weight and richness in the glass, all round a decent effort with plenty of life remaining - and a good match for the pork chops. To at least 2010.
