  • Consistent with my previous note. Aromatically stunning. The most floral wine in Fourrier's range that I have experience. I let this breath a bit before digging in this time, and just wow. Fireworks really start about 90 minutes in. So light on it's feet, all red fruits, backed up by tea spice and soft resolving tannins. I think this may develop a bit more, but it is soooo good now. Will try to keep my hands off my last bottle for a few years. Still my WOTY.

  • Wow, what an incredibly vibrant PN with a fairly unique profile! Super effusive, high-toned bouquet; there's quite a bit of snappy, wild red raspberry fruit and floral tones, but what really stood out to me were a number of complex mineral and spice tones. Petrichor, freshly roasted coffee grounds, almost "literally" spicy with notes of something like garam masala along with cinnamon. A kick of incense too. Maybe the nose lacks a little bit of "bass", it's all soprano, but certainly doesn't hold back in the sheer exuberant expression department.

Palate is crystalline and vibrant- again pretty much all about elegance, maybe lacking a little..."depth" for the high price, but it's beyond delicious. Sappy raspberry and red cherry, incredibly dialed-in acidity that feels super refreshing without ever feeling "tart" or out-of-place, thanks to the really pure fruit. Quite a bit of that unusual savory spice on the palate too. Very minerally on the finish.

I can't comment much on the QPR here- not only because this was shared by a super generous friend, but also because I have VERY little experience with wines above, say, $150 (already a huge splurge for me), and this goes for around double that. I didn't feel moved to rush out and get a bottle of my own, but I was totally pulled in by this, and every sip was an intriguing new direction, changing often in the glass. I'll rate it 94, a very high score on my scale, just don't pay attention to my number so much as my notes. Maybe a little steep in price for the quality alone, but I loved the unique vibe here, and I can't think of many PN's that remind me of this.

  • Striking color, and very transparent. Visually it looked almost like a trousseau. This was an incredibly delicate wine with a haunting bouquet. Fresh spring morning billowed from the glass with hints of cherry and raspberry. On the pallet it had great acidity and was all about the red fruit with much more upside over the next 5+ years. If I had to be critical, it lacked a bit of concentration, but I can’t stop think about the mind blowing aromatics on this wine. This was pure elegance and class through and through. My WOTY so far.

  • A bundle of youthful, crunchy, pure red cherry and raspberry fruit. A slight spritz that recedes with 30 minutes or so. Fun and delicious now but better with 5+ years as this gains some nuance.

  • Really pretty aromatics of strawberry and cherry. Elegant and lean. Very nice.
