  • 3 out of 4 bottles completely undrinkable.

Pour les francais, j'ai un conseil: n'achetez pas vos vins chez Vin Malin. Il est tout a fait inacceptable de vendre des produits pourris comme celui-ci. Ils doivent le savoir.

  • That's 2 out of 3 totally corrupted bottles. Annoyed with the website Vin Malin, who sold this at a discount, surely knowing they were peddling undrinkable rubbish. My advice on 2004 red burg is this: don't buy whatever the price. The exception, of course, is restaurants, where they can keep opening until a drinkable one emerges.

  • Awful smell of cabbage on opening. When dissipated all that was left was a weak, tasteless wine with chemical elements. I fear for my remaining bottles.

  • This is my first taste of Grand Cru chambertin and I was not disappointed. Beautiful dark brooding colour. Dark fruits along with some tertiary aromas on the nose (humus, etc.). Palate in line with the nose, but what most impressed me was the balance, the suave tanins, and the long finish. 2004 was a difficult year in Burgundy, but this wine is faultless. Got hold of at 38 euros - bargain!
