  • Same experience as acyso. I don't see further improvement, so drink now, but could sit for years as is.

  • Golden colour. Lovely nose with flavours of white peach, pineapple, and a hit of mineral quality. On the palate, this is not too sweet nor intense, and the texture is slightly oily. Unfocussed in that despite the large amount of acidity, the wine isn't held together. Not particularly brilliant, this is a passable bottle of Auslese with sadly nothing really interesting to say.

  • Okay, it's bottles like this that convince me how well Auslese with even just a touch of age can be perfect for my palate. The aromatics of age are starting to develop, and wonderful to enjoy. The sweetness has faded (and isn't apparent even in the nose) and right now the wine has a fantastic combination of youthful vibrancy with developed flavors, complexity and lip smacking lime goodness. Riesling in all it's beauty. Great fun wine with crepes with multiple toppings. Yum!

  • Consumed on the Sol Duc after a catch and release encounter with a 22 lb. winter steelhead buck. Beautiful fish. Nice wine, Good golden color. Sweet, good acids in the core. Lemony, bit of petrol, good but not great. Didn't match the fish, which was world class by any measure.
