Excellent showing. The nose is just beautiful, with creamy, sparkly red fruit and yellow gingery notes, and with a little bit of air, some prominent saline notes too. It's precise and detailed and understated on nose, refined and elegant. It shows some of the richness that accumulates with a bit of bottle age. All of this follows through to the palate, which is so bright and energetic, and whose flavors really resonate. The bead slows after 3 hours and maybe there's not a lot of upside to further cellaring here - if I had more, I'd open and enjoy in the next year or so. It's a great champagne, and in a tough vintage too.

yellow going to gold color , nose of honey , dry flowers , bread , still a nice acidity , full body , saline , long finish. Still in the drinking window but is good not to wait too much.

Great showing. The nose is rich with dark fruit, and there are hints of roast almonds and pastry dough, and there is a strong sense of salt and chalk, even on the nose. After drinking several other wines by this producer on the same evening, it makes it easier for me to see that Goulte really is the top wine in the portfolio. Even on the nose this can be seen, in the breadth and complexity of aroma. The palate is pure and strikingly saline, particularly on the finish, and yet this doesn't detract from the vivid and succulent fruit. There are notes also of ginger and cocoa and toffee. Just an excellent wine.

Great showing of this. Starting to emerge. Supremely elegant and layered. Goulte has a different texture, smoother but with greater amplitude than the Brut natures.
