  the biggest thing I got on the nose of this one was vanilla laced with some dark fruit and a bit of chocolate (blackberry, maybe a bit of plum). After about an hour it seemed to have a very oaky nose as well. Palate had decent acidity and a medium finish, good berry notes in the mid palate. Definitely worked better when paired with food than as a drinking wine. Tried this one with pizza and cheesy garlic bread which wasn't all that bad. Has good acidity but also quite a bit of oak, so I'm not quite sure how this one will age. Was maybe expecting a bit more from Hartford considering how good and refined their Pinot options are. Will give this one at least a year before trying again.
