Very big and serious. Smells like a tire fire- smoky, rubbery, meaty. BIG on the palate too, dense, leathery. I will probably like this more in like 20 years, but also this is probably not exactly my kind of thing. But if you do like this kind of thing, it's fantastic.

Opened by Allred. Served blind. 2nd time I have had this wine and it was excellent both times. This was given a 30 minute decant. Vibrant cherry aromas. On the palate there was spice, coffee and earthy notes. 95 points.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (EBCC): Blind. Aromas of pine forest, garrigue, red and black fruit, pepper and rubber. Medium-bodied. Flavors of red currant, herb, bacon and pepper. Finishes with good length. Lacks the depth of previous examples we've enjoyed but still incredibly fine in its own right.
This had been decanted for half an hour before it was poured in the first flight about two and a half hours after the cork was first pulled.

A big hulking wine that beats up the other wines and steals their lunch money. Drinking beautifully now.
