For a wine to be over 70 years old and still sweet and vibrant at the same time, it is amazing. Dried fruits, a bit of tea, hints of mushroom, of course, but very gracefully presented, not thick in its sweetness, but rather a bit light on its feet, the acidity backbone still doing its job of keeping this wine fresh. It was showing amazingly well.

From an amazing looking bottle with a fill into the neck, this wine had a brilliant amber center with yellow rims. I am going to guess this wine was released in the 70's based on the evidence. The high intensity nose offered up candied lemons, caramel, navel orange, vanilla, and some soil.
In the mouth, this was rich and ripe but on the moderate side for for a Sauternes. It had excellent acidity and great length.
This was excellent, especially given I was able to acquire this for way below its value as a wine.

(Château Caillou Crème de Tête) Medium dark orange color with red lights; cream, lime, tangerine, creme brulee and smoke nose; very nice tangerine, ripe blood orange and caramel palate; long finish
