Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 88.5 points

  • Spicy, slightly alcoholic nose, noted of blackberry preserve, liquorice, grilled herbs. On the palate dense and heavy, lots of fruit and concentration, quite sweet but also a little bitter, a bit out of whack. Spicy finish, very good length. 88-90

Stupidly small glass - impossible to make correct impression.
    Small nose.
Firm wine with just the right amount of medium fine tannins, ending with slight bitterness. Acid level fine. Slightly dry fruit. Full body, medium length and good density. Restrained and a well managed Minervois that impresses.
Should go very well with food, possibly earning more points over an evening and in better glasses. 6000円 is too much to ask for this wine, though.
Means I need to wait ~6 years for my 2007's.... But I can honestly say I look forward to!
