Certainly past its optimal drinking window but it has something to offer. Cork in good shape. Slightly bricked but not strongly so. Dusty nose. Still has reasonable density, with the fruit giving way to more tobacco and char notes. Still has the acidity if not the tannin, giving a long even presentation. Tasty with roasted eggplant and peppers. I have liked younger versions of this in the past as good value Napa cabs. Now I find that it keeps well too.

I picked this bottle up last month from a wine shop. Cork wouldn't come out without breaking even with an ah so.....some bleeding of wine through to the top of the cork. I wondered if someone coravin'ed it first before selling to see if it were still viable. Bricking slightly on the edges but still very drinkable. Nose was a bit absent, some good tannins remain, not much sediment and the requisite black/red fruit still showing a bit. I didn't pay much so I wasn't disappointed, just a decent bottle, nothing spectacular at this age. Maybe it peaked 2-3 years ago? Just wondering.......I should mention that while this is the "Mountain Cuvee" it is not a Bourdeaux bled but a Cab Sav/Napa valley label, different from this title page and the pic but I couldn't find this wine listed elsewhere.
