Still scoring a 100pts in the opinion of PD, who may be a little biased in his love of Chenin. still spectacular and definitely my top dessert wine over and over again!! Full bottle brought back from Paris !!

Honey, pear on the nose. Golden color. Botrytis clear in the flavor profile. Not too much complexity though. Long finish. I'd like to dry some other vintages to see if there is more complexity. Enjoyable drinking.

Drunk from a half bottle over two nights and yes by the second there had been a bit more opening up but I have to say compared with many of Baumard's wines over the years this was rather one dimensional and to be honest a bit dull. There was sweetness and richness but where was the complexity and elegance that one gets from Botrytis? At 11 years old I cannot see it greatly improving. The 1999 was perfect at 11 years, the 1996 at 12 but then the 2001 needed longer so maybe one should give it the benefit of the doubt and more time.
