Flowery and earthy bouquet, with a hint of pepper on the palate. Lively fruit and a lengthy finish. Enjoyed this better than the 2012 Jamet CDR of a few weeks back. Nice wine.

Better than my last try of a glass, continues to present great color. A tad more reserved than a Washington Syrah drinker might be used to, but a really solid VdP.

My first wine from Jamet, so why not try the VdP? Indeed it gives Northern Rhone associations right away on the nose. Flowers and berries on the quite tight nose. The palate is dominated by acidity like a sour cherry, and with a lot of cherry flavors too. Firm in the mouth, this is an obvious wine for a simple meal. A very straightforward wine for everyday purposes. Good QPR.
