  Decanted ~ 30 minutes before serving. Syrupy red-to-black berries on the nose, along with something floral in the background. Medium-to-medium-light body, medium-plus acid, lithe tannins. Bright cherries and orange rind on the palate, with something reminiscent of Christmas spice mid-palate. Good purity of fruit. Tasty.

  Second Coravin sample from this bottle stored in good conditions. Somewhat muted opening but after an hour it starts to open to red berries, orange zest and some floral notes.
  Nice acidity, supple fruit, lean and elegant, fine but never harsh tannin. Balanced finish with good length. Still very tight and needs more years to come round. Will no doubt improve. 92-93 range.

  Quite good but still very young and very structured. This was denser and darker and more structured than I expected. That said, the fruit is pure and concentrated and the overall presence quite grand. Enjoyable now but this is going to take at least another 5 years to unfurl, perhaps more.
