No evident bricking, but it took almost 2 days for the red fruit and other interesting notes to fight through the fog of funkiness that dominated early on. I enjoyed the final half of the bottle, but not the first half.

Ruby-magenta with no bricking. Violets, sage, and blackberry nose. Medium bodied, plums, blueberries, white pepper, fully integrated tannins, some tart cherries, smoke, and a long smooth finish. Plenty of life left in this one.

Drank one of my two signed bottles from Scott Harvey. Wonderful blueberry here, nicely balanced with some acidity. The blueberry isn't overly ripe, but instead slightly tart. It's very tasty, with just the right amount of spice. Had with some sharp cheese, and felt that the cheese balanced that slight tartness beautifully. Another great bottle from an impressive winemaker... saving the empty on that one. 90 pts.

Faint butterscotch & fennel notes. Bitter attack with peppermint & anise. Tamarind finish. Slightly schizophrenic combination of flavors, but not unpleasant.

It's too tart. Maybe they need to back off the viognier...or something
