- Ruby color. It's balanced with a medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Beautiful bouquet, rich with strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, hint of vanilla. Incredibly smooth, balanced tannins. Just as good as Selyem blend but better QPR. Sojourn is quickly moving up my 'favorites' list.
A really good, old world like pinot noir. Strawberry, raspberry and black cherry dominate the aromas and flavor. Silky, sexy tannins balanced with good acidity. Long, satisfying finish. Though it could use a bit more acidity to brighten it, a very good to great Sonoma Pinot Noir. Like a Vosnee Romanee with a touch more fruit and alcohol.
A drinking note: We decanted, poured and drank over a few hours. The wine was silky and gorgeous right away, but the fruit and tannins melded together over that time, evolving into an irresistible, flavorful, and sensuous wine.
