Luis rides again (without falling off!) (Tilia): This was the youngest tasting cab (and actually was the youngest cab!) compared to the 2005 Two Hands Aphrodite and the 2007 Corra Cabernet. I think I still liked it more than others did, but as I have said, I like wines that show fruit much more than wines that do not. Yes, this wine will improve with more time, but if you love more fruit, you won't be too disappointed opening now with an hour or two decant.
Floral nose with dark and red fruit, some earthy notes and some tobacco notes. Palate shows plenty of dark and red fruit with some leather, dusty earth and tobacco notes, with some cocoa and vanilla notes. Very nice and a solid 93, but should improve with additional age.

Luis actualy DOES show up for his own tasting (Tilia): Decanted for sediment, poured back in the bottle, then poured into glass 4 hours later. I wish I had decanted this 1 or 2 hours. I should have realized that this vineyard needs that. I just thought that Sojourn were easy drinking wines in general (see label). Anyway, this wine had great structure and was my favorite cab of the 3 tonight. This is the one wine in the lineup that I'd like to try again in 3, 5 or 10 years.

Luis Returns! (Tilia, Mpls): Very dark red/purple color. Splash double decanted. Drank a glass over 90 minutes. Can't remember the last time I had a Sojourn Cab, so this was fun to revisit. I really enjoyed the nose here; there's a great perfume of damp earth, truffle, violets, and dried flowers, with red and back berry fruits, that come off high toned and lifted in a good way. The palate has that mouthwatering acidity, juicy red berries and black currant, boysenberry, dried spice and great wood notes. Very good. 92+pts.

Still fresh. Has aged much better than some of the dedicated cab producers I have had recently from 09,10. Delicious!
