Decanted for 30 mins. Medium ruby color, cloudy. Huge nose right out of the gate with pomegranate, cherry, cranberry, baking spices and a touch of orange peel. Similar flavors on the palate with juicy red fruit that was both ripe and tart. Medium to medium+ acidity, medium tannins with a silky smooth mouthfeel and long finish. Just outright delicious to sit and sip on.
PnP. Bright red. Crunchy apple, cherry, and blood orange on the nose. This is very tight on the palate but very bright. Very young interestingly at age 5 from a vintage some on the Sonoma Coast think of as early maturing. Will see how it is tomorrow. With air overnight this is more enjoyable and complex with a spice component and better balance. Probably just needed an hour decant.
