Opened, poured into a decanter, and tasted with food (sweet potato risotto and roast pork loin, in case you were wondering). Also tasted on its own without food. Followed for about 3 hours. Dark color. Nose shows some red clay and sour cherries. This shows fairly big, with good concentration of fruit and some savory elements of meat and mushrooms. While big shouldered, there is enough acidity to help carry the weight of the fruit, but without being too sharp. Quite an enjoyable Chianti. Well done.
