The color is a medium red plum; the nose is dust, cherries and boysenberry. The taste starts out with a tart fruit and then shifts to a tart dry tannin with sweet tone on the side. The tart stays in the mouth for minutes. I’d say this will continue to improve for another few years with the acidity that is present. Not really much spice at all in this Zin.

Muddled berries dominate. Pretty hot even after 30 mins of decanting. A bit heavy on the tanins. A little moss or wet leaves, but otherwise a bit simple. Still, an enjoyable wine.

nice bottle of zin - decent balance of fruit with not an over powering finish.

Decanted one hour. This wine has mellowed quite a bit over time. Very nice, but don't wait much longer if you still have it
