This is drinking wonderfully! There's still some unresolved tannin, but the fruit is fading, so I'm unsure which direction this wine is heading. I've been surprised by old Zins in the past, so I'm hoping my remaining bottles turn into a pleasant surprise.

Not surprisingly, this is still drinking incredibly well. Very consistent with my previous notes from last August. What is a little surprising is that it paired more than adequately with lamb in a Madras curry-style simmer sauce that was somewhat spicy - everything I read said you really should go white with Indian, but I figured what the heck. It's not too dry or tannic, so it didn't clash.

Haven't had a bottle of this for over two years. My earlier notes still stand, but even better. One of my favorite Zins - maybe because it's not jammy and peppery like many Zins. Sorry I didn't buy a couple of cases!

Made it about 21 months between bottles ... if I keep up this pace I'll still have a couple left when this hits the end of its happy window. As for right now, this is still luscious, even better than previously. Decanted this bottle about a half-hour before dinner -- grilled cheeseburgers and corn on the cob, GREAT pairing! It's a deep red now, almost opaque in the glass. The nose is a little earthier, although I'm still catching a whiff of pineapple. On the tongue, there are still loads of dark fruit, while the tannins are starting to assert themselves just a little. It's Scott Harvey ... the man knows what he is doing with Zinfandel.

Really good zin, not over an over the top fruit bomb, but still has a little of the prunes and stewed fruit notes
