  • Popped and poured. Maybe could use some breathing.

    Deep purple to ruby rim.

Unusual but interesting nose of cherry cola (or Dr. Pepper?), mint, herbs, vanilla and violets.

Tart and a bit astringent on the palate but with decent fruit and the tannins are in balance. Nice long finish. Better with food (skirt steak) than sipping afterward.

  • Open one day at time of tasting, but sealed with a vacu-vin system.

Sweet dark cherries on the nose. Burnt rubber mixed with dark over-ripe burnt cherry and smoke and a hint of carmelized onion / green pepper on the front of the palate, moving to over-ripe and very astringent / acidic / tannic prune after-taste, mixed with a non-carbonated overly-acidic cherry cola taste. Seems a bit out of balance.

Improves with multiple tastes, but still extremely astringent / tannic, and seems out of balance for what it is. 83-84

  • Smoke, tar, pepper, and acid, acid, acid. Interesting but not enjoyable.
