Very elegant and transparent but for me missing a bit of intensity that I found in '06 Hudelot-Noellat Riche and '05 DRC Riche in the same weekend. Pretty, precise, but perhaps missing the extra concentration of fruit/X-factor to make it truly great. Meadows called it "middleweight" which I guess is a polite awy of saying "ever so slightly underpowered". It's still splitting hairs - this is lovely wine, but at this price point I expect more

PoB - Grivot Richebourg vertical dinner (1992-2013) (Hong Kong): The most complete wine of the evening. Still a bit closed with discrete nose of farmyard, raspberry, spices. The precision and elegance of the palate are stunning as with so many 2010. Awesome wine. Also here, dont open this before 2025.

Drunk at Arbor Restaurant Hong Kong - Ex Domaine Grivot Richebourg vertical - The first vintage that Mathilde officially joined Etienne as wine maker. This was wine of the night. Elegance, balance and all of the brilliance of the '07 but you just know this will reach loftier heights.

During a dinner with Confrerie friends. Stiff competition tonight with Armand Rousseau's Ruchottes and Mazis, Mugneret-Gibourg Ruchottes and Echezeaux, Rothy's Charmes Chambertin, Jadot's Musigny. Prices of Grivot's Richebourg went crazy recently, passing 4 digits in the best vintages. A generous friend brought this to share and discuss. Wow, what a treat. Translucent, light color for a 2010 Richebourg. Right from the start we could sniff that something special was coming. Sophisticated nose with funk, red fruit, underbrush, explosive. The palate was light, elegant, excellent balance. WOTN, a Burg to die for and wonderful way to conclude a fabulous dinner.

pronounced and beautiful flavour of blue and purple fruits but with relatively low tanning and acidity.
